Sports Interaction Review by Julian Miller

Julian Miller
Julian Miller
Sports Interaction is a great choice of sportsbook for Canadian bettors. It’s one of Canada’s oldest and biggest sportsbooks with a huge reputation. We think Sports Interaction more than lives up to it’s lofty reputation

Sports Interaction Sportsbook Review

Sports Interaction is one of the oldest sports betting sites in Canada. Because of this, they have a sterling reputation all throughout Canada. We put their reputation to the test in this review and can happily say Sports Interaction lives up to the hype. Sports Interation is an easy-to-use betting site that offers a huge amount of betting markets and competitive odds. Don’t believe us? Keep reading and see why we rate Sports Interaction so highly.

Sports Interaction Likes and Dislikes

Before we get into our in-depth Sports Interaction review, here are some of our key takeaways. See our three favourite and least favourite things about Sports Interaction sportsbook below.

Sports Interaction Sportsbook Likes

  • Sports Interaction’s website is one of the easiest to use betting sites in Canada. The website design looks kind of simple, but that’s what makes it so easy to use. All you need to do is pick your sport out of the list on the left of the screen, pick your game, and then place your bet. It’s really that simple.

  • Another one of our favourite things about Sports Interaction is the wide variety of sports available to bet on. You can bet on all the major leagues (NFL/CFL, NHL, NBA, etc), which is to be expected from any betting site in Canada. However, with Sports Interaction you can also bet on foreign sports leagues, like European soccer leagues and EuroLeague basketball; obscure sports, like darts and handball; and specials bets, which are bets on things like politics and entertainment.

  • Our final favourite feature of Sports Interaction is their customer service options, specifically their chat function. Obviously, we hope you never have any problems with any sportsbook, but if you do, you’re going to want to make sure the sportsbook has good customer service. Sports Interaction’s customer service was great. We tested their chat function at virtually all hours of the day and always got a response within minutes, if not immediately. If you ever have any pro.

Sports Interaction Sportsbook Dislikes

  • The first glaring downside to betting with Sports Interaction is that there is no Sports Interaction mobile app. Now, this doesn’t mean you can’t use Sports Interaction on your phone. Sports Interaction has a great mobile site that works on Android and IOS phones, but it’s not as convenient as having a premade app.
  • The one other negative we found with Sports Interaction is that it’s slightly limited when it comes to futures and prop bets. While you can bet on basically any game happening in any major sport in the world, you can’t always bet on future award winners, league champions, or any number of other player props.
  • We found the lack of individual prop bets most noticeable with soccer betting. Outside of the Premier League, you really can’t place many futures bets besides who you think will be the league champion. Additionally, player bets on individual games are usually limited to betting on which player will score first or whether a certain player will score. At other sportsbooks with more comprehensive soccer betting options, you can bet on whether a player will get a yellow, how many times a player will be fouled, and many other player props.

Conclusion

Sports Interaction has an easy-to-use website where you can bet on a wide variety of betting markets and world class customer service if you ever have any problems. Unfortunately, there is no Sports Interaction mobile app, so you’ll have to use their mobile betting site. Sports Interaction also might not be a great choice for futures and prop bettors wanting every possible future and prop bet available to them.

Sports Interaction Overview

Sports Interaction has a reputation as one of the best, if not the best sportsbook in Canada. In my opinion, Sports Interaction lives up to its reputation.

Sports Interaction Welcome Package

Sports Interaction welcome bonus for new bettors represents great value compared to many of its competitors. Sports Interaction will match your first deposit in bonus bets up to $1,000.

They also offer regular promotions for existing customers. These promotions change depending on what’s happening in the sports world at any given time.

Sports Interaction Sports Coverage

As a Canadian sports betting site, Sports Interaction offers plenty of hockey and CFL bets, which I appreciate since those Canadian-specific markets can sometimes be limited at other betting sites. You can also bet on the NFL, NBA, soccer, MMA, and lots of other markets with Sports Interaction.

Sports Interaction Markets

The wide variety available international soccer, basketball, and hockey bets is one thing I really liked about Sports Interaction’s betting markets since I sometimes like to follow obscure leagues outside of North America. Odds for all these markets are usually very competitive with, or better than, any odds you can find at other betting sites.

Sports Interaction Features

While Sports Interaction’s market offerings are very wide, they sometimes lack depth, especially for futures and prop bets. I found that Sports Interaction was a little limited when it came to futures bets on things like league champions, stats leaders, and award winners. This was especially the case when it came to soccer betting.

If you don’t place that many futures bets or are not interested in single game prop bets, this won’t be a concern for you. If you love those things, you might find Sports Interaction to be a little lacking.

Sports Interaction Banking

For the more practical stuff, Sports Interaction passed with flying colours. Sports Interaction’s deposit and withdrawal methods work just like you would expect from such a big brand. Sometimes it takes a few days for withdrawals to actually hit your account, but that’s usually because of your bank or the transaction provider. On Sports Interaction’s side, transactions are processed usually in less than a day.

Like Sports Interaction’s deposit and withdrawal processes, Sports Interaction’s customer service was something that left me impressed. I used their 24/7 live chat multiple times, at different times of the day/night to see how responsive they were. These test runs always resulted in being connected with a real person in minutes, which is much better than I’ve seen at other sites.

Sports Interaction Mobile App

The last thing that stuck out to me with Sports Interaction relates to their sports betting app. The thing that stuck out is that Sports Interaction doesn’t have an app. I was initially worried about this, but later was happy to find out that Sports Interaction’s mobile betting site works great. The site is fully optimized for Android and IOS devices and works just like the desktop site does.

Overall, I think Sports Interaction is a great sports betting site. It definitely lives up to its reputation and would be a great choice for most Canadian bettors. I say most because I think some futures and soccer bettors might find that Sports Interaction is a little limited when it comes to futures and some prop bets. If you’re not interested in those types of bets, Sports Interaction is definitely for you.

Sports Interaction Score & Rating

ways to judge any online sportsbook. To us, a site’s sports betting bonuses and promotions, mobile compatibility, banking options/payout speed, key features, security and trust, and customer support are the most important factors to consider.

Here’s how Sports Interaction scores in those categories:

Bonuses and promotions – Sports Interaction’s welcome bonus represents great value by matching your first deposit up to $1,000, but it’s not the best we’ve ever seen. Sports Interaction’s existing customer promos are also good but aren’t as robust as some other betting sites.

Mobile compatibility and apps – Sports Interaction’s mobile site is just as good as any of the best betting apps you will find. The reason it doesn’t get a perfect score is because just having a mobile site is a little less convenient than having an app.

Banking and payout speed – Deposits and payouts are quick with Sports Interaction. The fact you can deposit or withdraw cash in so many ways too means that we have to give them a 5/5 here.

Key features – Sports Interaction’s live betting options, piñata picks, minute madness, odds boosts, online casino, and betting tips make impossible not to give Sports Interaction a perfect score for their features.

Security and trust – Sports Interaction is one of the most reputable sports betting sites in Canada.

Customer Suppor – Help is available quickly and consistently via Sports Interaction’s 24/7 chat. For bigger issues, they also have a dedicated phone number and email request form.

Sports Interaction Bonuses and Promotions

Now that we’ve covered the basics and told you what we like and dislike about Sports Interaction, let’s get into the nitty-gritty of what Sports Interaction has to offer. We’ll start by telling you about Sports Interaction’s bonuses and promotions.

Like most sports betting sites, Sports Interaction’s bonuses are dependent on what sports are going on at any given time. Right now, Sports Interaction sportsbook has bonuses related to the NBA and NHL seasons and the Super Bowl, as well as a referral bonus you can get by inviting friends to sign up to Sports Interaction. Here are some more details on Sports Interaction’s online betting bonus offers right now:

  • Hockey Night in Canada Promo: Get a 50% bonus on any moneyline bet on any Saturday night NHL game if the team you bet on wins and scores at least 5 goals. If your team wins scoring at least 8 or more, you get a 100% bonus.
  • We the North Bonus: Get a 25% bonus when you bet on the Raptors moneyline they win while scoring at least 120 points. You get a 50% bonus if they score 130 points or a 100% bonus if they score 140 points.
  • Refer a friend bonus: Get a 100% matching bonus up to $200 when your friend signs up to Sports Interaction. There’s no limit to the amount of people you can invite and claim the bonus for.

Casino bonuses:

Sports Interaction also offers casino bonuses for existing customers. The same “refer a friend” bonus applies for their casino. In addition to that, they usually offer monthly jackpots where you can win a share of a huge jackpot or free spins. One regular bonus rewards you with free spins after an initial deposit into a specific game, but the game and the amount of free spins changes regularly depending on what’s happening in the real world..

Sports Interaction Welcome Package

Welcome packages are bonuses betting sites give to new bettors. Welcome packages vary a lot in both quality and size depending on the site, so they often play a major role for bettors when picking who to bet with.

Normally, welcome packages are free bet offers or risk free first bets. Sports Interaction’s welcome bonus is a matching bonus, which is kind of like the free bet sign up offers you may have seen at other sportsbooks.

The best betting sites welcome bonus will be one that really makes it worth your while to create an account. In our opinion, Sports Interaction has one of the best sign up bonuses in Canada.

Sports Interaction welcome bonus

Sports Interaction will match your first deposit (up to $1,000) in free bonus credits.

How to claim the Sports Interaction welcome bonus?

To claim Sports Interaction’s welcome bonus, just follow this easy step-by-step guide:

  • Create your Sports Interaction account
  • Deposit at least $10 and have your deposit matched in bonus credits (up to $1,000)
  • Place qualifying bets equal to the amount of your first deposit
  • Earn your bet credits once your bets are settled and use for credits on new bets

Sports Interaction Welcome Bonus Terms and Conditions

A quick note that should be mentioned whenever welcome bonuses are brought up is that they all come with terms and conditions you should be aware of. Here are the terms and conditions for Sports Interaction’s welcome bonus:

  • You must be a new Sports Interaction user
  • Minimum deposit of $10 is required
  • Only qualifying bets are eligible for the matching bonus
  • Cashed-out bets and bets that have odds less than -200 are not qualifying bets
  • Only real money bets are qualifying bets
  • Bet credits expire in 45 days
  • Bet credits can only be used on bets with a maximum odds of 3.0 (+200). Parlays with higher odds are okay as long as each leg of the parlay it is below 3.0.
  • Bet Credits can’t be used on the following bets: “cashed-out” bets, round robins, each way bets, Asian handicap bets with a quarter point spread, and virtual sports bets
  • Bet credits can’t be used at Sports Interaction’s casino.

Sports Interaction Best Features

Bonuses are just one thing to consider before signing up to a sportsbook. Another major thing to consider is that sportsbook’s features. Features are basically perks or things you get to participate in (outside of sports betting) when you have an account with the sportsbook. Some features are specifically related to sports betting, but they usually go above and beyond placing certain bets.

Sportsbook features are important because some of them can make you real money. Others are less high stakes and are simply fun things to take part in. Sports Interaction has features that fall into both of those categories.

Sports Interaction Piñata Picks

We’ll discuss some of the more common features Sports Interaction has next, but we have to start with Piñata Picks first. This is because Piñata Picks are a feature you’ll be hard pressed to find outside of Sports Interaction.

Piñata Picks are very high odds random bets. When you wager on a Piñata Pick, you have no say in what your actual wager is (besides the general event it’s related to) because Sports Interaction randomly assigns you a bet. For example, Sports Interaction is currently offering a Piñata Pick for the exact score of the Super Bowl at +200000 odds. If you placed a wager on that Piñata Pick, you would be randomly assigned a scoreline.

Obviously no expertise is needed to win a Piñata Pick, so they are just for fun. We don’t recommend anyone take them too seriously or bet anything big on one.

Sports Interaction Live Betting

While Piñata Picks are pretty much exclusive to Sports Interaction, live betting is available at pretty much every betting site. Live betting is pretty much what it sounds like. It’s betting on an event while that event is happening.

Live betting on sports is a great options for people who like to have some skin in the game that they are watching. They also can be great opportunities to take advantage of constantly changing odds which might present great value compared to the pregame odds.

Sports Interaction Betting Insights

In addition to offering services as a sportsbook and online casino, Sports Interaction is a pretty good data analyst provider.

SIA Insights is Sports Interaction’s media arm. The website contains unbiased information about matchups, teams, and players. It’s very easy to access right from the Sports Interaction’s sportsbook as most matchups have a three bar icon next to them which serves as a hyperlink to the SIA Insights page about the game.

Sports Interaction Sports Coverage

Like you would expect from one of the best betting sites in Canada, you can bet on all the major sports with Sports Interaction.

Here’s just a taste of some of the most popular sports you can bet on with Sports Interaction:

  • Football (NFL, CFL)
  • Hockey (NHL, AHL, etc.)
  • Basketball (NBA, EuroLeague, etc.)
  • Soccer (Premier League, LaLiga, MLS, etc.)

Live betting is an available for every one of the sports we are about to discuss in greater detail.

Sports Interaction Football Betting

Football isn’t associated with Canadians in the same way it is with Canada’s neighbours down south, but football has a surprisingly strong foothold in Canada.

Whether it’s the CFL in the summer or the NFL in the autumn and winter, Sports Interaction has Canadian football fans covered.

While we thought Sports Interaction could do better with their futures and prop bets, football is an exception to that. Sports Interaction has pretty much every possible football prop bet you could imagine.

To us, this makes Sports Interaction one of the best football betting sites in Canada.

Sports Interaction Hockey Betting

Hockey is Canada’s favorite sport by far. Given that, hocky betting is also extremely popular in Canada. This is reflected by the available hockey bets with Sports Interaction’s.

With Sports Interaction, you can bet on NHL futures, season long player props, individual game player and team props, and NHL award winner props. This is far more extensive than any other sport offered by Sports Interaction.

In addition to being able to bet on the NHL, you can also bet on the AHL, ECHL, international hockey tournaments, NCAA hockey, and all the major European hockey leagues with Sports Interaction.

Sports Interaction Basketball Betting

Even though Canada has just one NBA team, Canada is a basketball-mad country, especially in the Raptor’s home province of Ontario.

Sports Interaction leans into the Raptor’s popularity by offering special promotions for moneyline bets on Raptor’s games. You can bet on any other NBA game with Sports Interaction too, just don’t expect regular bonuses like you’d get when you bet on the Raptors.

We felt NBA props were one of the areas where Sports Interaction was limited. Over the entirety of our lengthy review, the only NBA futures bets were for teams. For example, you couldn’t bet on the potential NBA MVP.

If you’re looing for something more than what you can get with normal NBA betting sites, Sports Interaction has you covered. With Sports Interaction, you can bet on EuroLeague, Australia’s National Basketball League, and many more international leagues.

Sports Interaction Soccer Betting

While not the most popular sport in Canada, soccer has fans all throughout the Great White North. This is reflected in how many Canadians bet on the beautiful game.

One of the reasons soccer betting in Canada is so popular is because there’s always soccer on. The major European leagues, like the Premier League and LaLiga, run from August to June. In North America, our leagues, like MLS and the Canadian Premier League, run from March-November. Soccer is truly a year-round sport, so it’s a great choice for Canadian bettors.

Just like you can bet on a variety of international leagues for hockey and basketball, the same is true for international soccer leagues.

Unfortunately, outside of the Premier League, you won’t find many futures bets besides betting on league winners when you bet with Sports Interaction.

Sports Interaction sponsorship deals

Sports Interaction is the official sportsbook partner of Canada’s National Lacrosse League and the CFL’s Ottawa Redblacks, Winnepeg Blue Bombers, Hamilton Tigercats and Edmonton Elks..

Sports Interaction Betting Markets & Types of Bets Available

Sports Interaction offers a wide variety of betting markets, including the NFL, NHL, NBA, CFL, and many other leagues and sports around the world. This is part of the reason we are so high on Sports Interaction.

Like most sports betting sites, you’ll find all the major betting markets and traditional types of bets available to you when you bet with Sports Interaction.

Below, we take a look at some of the popular betting markets and types of bets available to you with Sports Interaction.

Sports Interaction Betting Markets:

  • Football: NFL, CFL, NCAA, and XFL
  • Hockey: NHL, AHL, ECHL, NCAA, International tournaments, and many international hockey leagues.
  • Basketball: NBA, NCAA, EuroLeague, Austrialian National Basketball League, and many other international basketball leagues.
  • Soccer: English Premier League, LaLiga, MLS, Canadian Premier League, Liga MX, and many other international soccer leagues.
  • Specials: Canadian and US elections, the Oscars, and other TV/movie/music awards.

Sports Interaction Types of Bets Available

  • Points Spread: Points spread bets are wagers on the margin of victory. For example, if the Patriots are -4.5 point favourites and you bet on them to win against the spread, the Patriots must win by 5 points or more for you to win your bet.
  • Moneyline: Moneyline bets are wagers on who you think will win. To use the last example, if you bet on the Patriots moneyline, they just have to win the game for you to win your bet. The margin of victory doesn’t matter for moneyline bets.
  • Totals (over/under): Totals bets are bets on the number of points/goals scored in a game. Sportsbooks will offer a line and you can bet whether you think the combined score of the game will be over/under that line.
  • Parlays: Parlays are single bets grouped together as one bet. In order for your parlay to win, each single bet within the parlay must also win.
  • Futures: Futures bets are bets on some future outcome bigger than one game. For example, a bet on who will be the Stanley Cup champion is a futures bet.
  • Prop Bets: Prop bets are bets not related to the outcome of the game. For example, if you bet on whether Alexander Ovechkin will score in a game, that is a prop bet.

Sports Interaction banking options

Sports Interaction doesn’t have a mobile sports betting app. Instead, you need to use your mobile browser to access Sports Interaction’s regular website.

We looked at how Sports Interaction looks and operates on both Apple and Android devices and are happy to say that Sports Interaction’s mobile site works great on both.

While it would be more convenient to have a dedicated app, Sports Interaction’s mobile betting site is the same as their desktop site,  which is a good thing.

It’s a good thing because it means everything you can do one the desktop site, you can do on your phone. This isn’t always the case since some sports betting apps are just more limited versions of their websites. This is especially a problem with new betting sites in Canada.

You can enjoy the same features, place the same bets, and bet on the same markets with Sports Interaction’s mobile site just like you can with their desktop site.

The bad of Sports Interaction’s mobile site being the same as their desktop betting site is that there are no special promotions exclusively for mobile users to take advantage of.

Sports Interaction Banking Options

Before you open an account with a sportsbook, you need to make sure that the sportsbook can actually take your money. More importantly, you need to make sure you can actually withdraw your money from the sportsbook. Reviewing the sportsbook’s banking options is how you make sure you can actually make deposits and withdrawals with the sportsbook.

If you’re seriously thinking about gambling with Sports Interaction after reading our review, the next thing you should do is look into their banking options. Thankfully for you, we’ve compiled them for you in two convenient lists below.

Deposit Methods: Visa, Mastercard, Interac Etransfer, Instadebit, iDebit, Instant Banking, eCheck, PaysafeCard, NeoSurf, EcoPayz, Interac Online

Withdrawal Methods: Checks, EcoCard, Instadebit, Instant Echecks, Wire Transfers

Is Sports Interaction legal in Canada? Can we trust betting on Sports Interaction Sportsbook?

Sports betting in Canada with Sports Interaction is 100% legal. Sports Interaction is licensed in Ontario and operates under the Kahnawake Gaming Commission for the rest of Canada, making it completely legal everywhere in Canada.

As for whether you can trust Sports Interaction with your money, the answer is a definitive yes. Sports Interaction has been operating in the online gambling space for over 20 years, making it one of the most reputable online betting sites in Canada.

Of course, there are restrictions to betting with Sports Interaction. You must be of legal age and actually be located in Canada to place a bet.

Legal age depends on your province. In Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec, you need to be 18 years old or older. In British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, and Saskatchewan, you must be 19+.

Additionally, every betting site has their own terms and conditions you must adhere to. Most are fairly straightforward and relate to the sportsbook verifying your identity and reserving the right to refuse any wagers. Occasionally, a betting site will have extra restrictions, but it’s unusual for that to be the case. Sports Interaction isn’t one of these unusual exceptions.

Sports Interaction Customer Support

Sports Interaction’s customer service can be reached using their 24/7 chat, by calling +1 888 922 5575, or by filling out a help request form on their website. We tested out their 24/7 chat and found it to be very useful. A Sports Interaction representative always responded within a couple of minutes and were very helpful.

Sports Interaction’s website also has a dedicated help centre page, which contains FAQs and links to articles to help you solve any issues you might be having. The help centre’s FAQs are extremely helpful and are sure to help with even the most specific of issues.

Sports Interaction How to Guide

How to open an account on Sports Interaction

Creating an account with Sports Interaction is a very easy process. It’s a simple one page form that you fill out like you would for any other website account. It should only take you about 5 minutes to fill out the form. After doing that, you will have a working account.

To actually place your bets, you need to make a deposit. This is also an easy process, especially since Sports Interaction has so many different banking options.

Sports Interaction Registration Process:

  1. Go to com and click the Sign-Up button
  2. Fill out the sign up form by inputting your email, first and last name, date of birth, mobile number, and address.
  3. Create a username, password, and backup security question

  5. Claim your bonus and make your first deposit (note, you may have to verify your identity before you are able to make your deposit).

How to place a bet

Once you create your account and make your first deposit, we’re sure the next thing you’re going to want to do is to place your first bet. As we mentioned throughout our Sports Interaction review, placing bets with Sports Interaction is very easy to use.

Just go to the sportsbook tab of Sports Interaction’s website, browse the available sports and select your bets. As you choose the games you want to bet on, your betslip will appear on the screen. Using the betslip, you can put in how much you want to wager and see how much you could potentially win. You can also create parlays with the betslip.

How to request a withdrawal

The last thing you’ll need to know how to do with Sports Interaction is how to withdraw your winnings.

This process is just as easy as making deposits. Click your profile icon to access your account options, click the withdraw button, choose your withdrawal method, and put in how much you want to withdraw. It’s really that easy.

Your withdrawal request should be processed by Sports Interaction within 48 hours. It may take another few days for your bank to actually receive your money, but the process shoudn’t be too long. Expect the entire process to take 2-5 business days.
